Wild front man of Aerosmith, Steven Tyler, was determined to enter rehab in ‘09 to get control of his pain medication addiction. Tyler blames his addiction on decades of live performances and the resulting physical accidents that he obtained due to his lifestyle. This happened to be Tyler’s second stint in a rehabilitation program. The 1st rehab program took place in 1986 throughout which Tyler fought a heroin and stimulant addiction. He overcame that debilitating addiction.
Tyler entered rehab for the second time with the devotion and undivided support of his family members, which included his daughter, Liv. Obtaining the loving support of your family behind you during a rehab facility is essential importantance. He begrudgingly had the support of his band members, most who were not happy regarding his drug induced falling off the stage during a performance in ‘09. The band threatened to replace him unless he cleaned up his act. He successfully beat his addiction to painkillers and eventually went on to become a well known judge on American Idol.
